Ember Strong

Ember Hughes was recently diagnosed with Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia (CML). While this is one of the treatable forms of Leukemia, CML can cause complications and struggles for those afflicted with the disease. She has spent the past couple weeks in the hospital dealing with the complications from her grossly oversized spleen which is causing her extreme pain and some of the other unfortunate side effects. Ember is only 15 and will battle this disease her entire life.  But with her oral treatment we are praying and hoping that she will respond well to the treatment and that the cancer will eventually go into remission.

 

Friends, family and coworkers have set up this Go Fund Me page in an effort to assist the Hughes Family offset those costs that insurance will not cover. As we all have experienced, insurance only covers so much when fighting illnesses.
