Manny was someone special to all of us. He was a GREAT friend, humorous, intelligent, loyal, honest, a genuine person, who was hard working, persistent, creative, giving, and open-minded. He was sweet, treated people fairly and was willing to listen and be non-judgmental. Manny was hard driven, determined and consistent in being himself. Sounds like a tall order but that was just "Manny being Manny".
I see the phrase "Everyone's Best Friend" floating around on memorial/tribute photos of Manny and it's true. If you were fortunate enough to meet him then I am sure you would have considered him a friend and he would have treated you as such. If you made it into the inner circle then, you were considered family. Manny would not want us to look on in sadness and despair but to celebrate the man he was.
This fundraiser is 100% for Emanuel "Manny" Joyner's funeral and burial costs. Every single dollar, down to the penny will be used for costs associated with making sure Manny has a proper funeral and burial. With the permission of Manny's Uncle Ron; I, Teniqua Alexis Coates-Singh, Eddie & Bianca Sullivan, Michael G. Henry and Donald Peters will handle the arrangements in a way Manny would have wanted. I believe in being transparent and as such; anything purchased associated with these funds will have a receipt documented below.
