Elsa Needs a New Furnace Detroit!

Metro Detroit Friends you helped me earlier this year when a friend's home burned down, so I'm back to ask for help. 

I have a situation with a 48-year-old mildly disabled woman, living in Detroit who is a very lovely lady with an equally as lovely 14-year-old son. Their furnace died last week and unfortunately, it cannot be repaired, (a friend was the tech on the scene and alerted me to Elsa's dilemma) the only remedy is a replacement.

We're talkin' $5,000 to replace the boiler (FYI - it's a steam boiler and they cost significantly more and the labor is much higher due to all the pipework)and let's not even get into what an immaculate home she keeps under a foundation that's less than worthy. You think you've got problems this holiday season? Think again.

The thought of them trying to survive on space heaters in a house that was wired long before the juice-pulling appliances they are using to stay warm were, sounds like a disaster waiting to happen.
