<div>ALK-positive lung cancer is a rare subtype of non-small cell lung cancer that disproportionately affects women, individuals under 50, and nonsmokers (<a href="https://massivebio.com/alk-positive-lung-cancer/)." target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><a href="https://massivebio.com/alk-positive-lung-cancer/" target="_blank" class="" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://massivebio.com/alk-positive-lung-cancer/</a>).</a> It accounts for approximately 72,000 new cases and 64,000 deaths worldwide each year. This cancer type is underfunded and under-researched; the few ongoing clinical trials still fail for many patients, and there is a constant need for further research to advance the treatment for those who may develop drug resistance along the way.
