Elmont High School Chorale Goes to Chicago!

Donation protected
Anne-Marie Hudley Simmons encourages your support for the Elmont HS Chorale as they have accepted the invitation to serve as the concert/workshop high school choir for educators across the country at the 10oth Anniversary of the oldest African American music organization in the country, The National Association of Negro Musicians Inc. The students will be traveling to Chicago from July 14th-19th, but their participation comes with a price tag of approximately $100,000. This will include airfare, land transportation, hotel accommodates, registration fees, tours of the Museum of Science and Industry, the chaperones and accompanist.  Donations, large and small, will assist these students in reaching Chicago from New York with the intention of serving members and guests a wealth of choral music and an openness to grow as musicians under the tutelage of choral consultants.

The choir will serve under the auspices of B-Sharp Q/LI Branch of NANM, one of the chapters of NANM that provides venues for emerging artists and scholarships to young people in the performing arts. Funds can be sent to B-Sharp.  Ms. Hudley Simmons is the music chair of the Elmont HS and the Chorale's conductor.
