Hello everyone, we are here once again trying to raise money for my brother's cancer.
As of last year he was healthy and living a productive life after his surgeries and being cleared from his doctors about his cancer. He was on the road to a clear recovery and had been doing well since.
We went on vacation as a familiy this summer and all seemed to be well until we got back. Upon Elmer's return from our trip he began to experience a lot of back pain. He consulted with his orthopedist and after a few scans and MRIs the results showed that he has a tumor gorwing on his spine, the scans also confirmed that he has about 15-20 nodules in each lung. From there he saw his oncologist and did some further testing. On the positive side his tumor levels are low and are not indicating agrresive cancer but has taken a huge toll on him none the less.
Before moving forward with any treatment plans suggested by his oncologist Elmer decided to take an alternative route. He began holistic treatment in West Virginia as of August but due to Elmer's current state he is in need of 24/7 care. His care plan was becoming too costly and became straining for our parents once they began to travel there on a daily basis to assist with his treatments. Upon completing his first month in WV he was brought home to be taken care of by his parents, we have also been blessed enough with an Aunt who has taken it upon herself to resign from her job and become his live in caretaker during the day, while our parents switch shifts over night.
We have decided to make another account to help my parents cover his medications, hydrotherapy, care costs as well as his personal expenses as he is unable to work. With the tumor growing on his back it has left him almost completely immobile, and unable to walk with out assistance and cannot work during this time.
We have reciveved an outpour of support throughout this entire process and have been truly blessed with so much love from our friends and familiy. We understand that not everyone is in the position to make monitary donations but your prayers and love have been truly felt during this difficult time. We only ask that if you cannot make a donation at this time, to just share this along with those around you.
