Ellies Pyometra Surgery

Donation protected
December 10, 2020 @ approximately 12am, I discovered that my 8 year old Main Coon/Ragdoll cat was acting strange.

3 days prior I noticed her appetite was decreasing and she was becoming increasingly more angry(hissing) and hiding.

It was clear that something was awry.

I immediately took her into the emergency vet where they performed blood collection, ultra sound and a physical exam.  They discovered a high white blood cell count which is indictable of an infection and inflammation. There is a recommendation to get her abdomen explored and spay her.

This surgery is risker due to her being a mature pet, therefore more expensive.

She was provided Buprenorphine and amoxicillin to sustain her comfortability. A quote of $3500 was given to go through with the surgery at the emergency vet. I simply cannot swing that without the hopeful help of animal lovers near and far.

I have called my vet and they are getting together and sending and invoice of costs that in hopes will be less pricey than what the emergency vet gave me.

Times are tough. Anything helps to begin her journey back to health.

If anybody prefers to etransfer. I will set that aside for her. X
