<div>Since the tragic passing of Ellie on her 18th birthday, 25th July 2018, in her memory, we, her family, decided to continue fundraising under Ellie's name for young winter sports athletes that need financial assistance to achieve their potential and dreams, in much the same way as Ellie had looked for your help.

<div>Ellie Soutter was one of the most progressive Junior Female Snowboard Athletes of Great Britain.
</div>
<div>Ellie became Vice champion of the world in the Junior Freeride World Tour in 2017. She was winner of a Bronze medal for Team GB at the 2017 European Youth Olympics and was tipped to be one of GBs strongest contenders for the 2022 winter Olympics amongst other numerous podium finishes throughout Europe and the southern hemisphere.

<div>As a junior athlete coming from a family without substantial wealth, Ellie often had to miss out on competing and training through lack of funds. She felt and understood the constant pressure to obtain the necessary funds for her training and events. A full season of required training to maintain this level of competition was in excess of £30,000 annually. At this time, as a Junior GB athlete, there is minimal or no funding for travel or accommodation and athletes have to pay a subscription for coaching.

<div>We have decided to form The Ellie Soutter Foundation in her memory to help and assist other young winter athletes in similar circumstances.

<div>Nous soutenons de jeunes athlètes de sports d'hiver talentueux à travers des initiatives de financement et un accompagnement pour faire face à la pression des compétitions.

<div>Suite au décès tragique d'ellie Soutter, jeune athlète de l'équipe de grande-bretagne, le jour de son 18e anniversaire, sa famille s'est engagée à perpétuer sa mémoire en récoltant des fonds.
</div>
<div>Nous voulons apporter à de jeunes skieurs et snowboardeurs prometteurs un soutien aussi bien financier que psychologique, afin de les aider à exploiter tout leur potentiel et à réaliser leurs rêves.
</div>

<div>L'objectif de la Fondation est d'identifier et de soutenir des jeunes qui ont un talent avéré pour les sports d'hiver et qui, sans une aide financière, ne pourraient pas exploiter tout leur potentiel du fait d'un manque de ressources. Pour atteindre cet objectif, nous accordons des subventions permettant la prise en charge des équipements, de l'entraînement, des voyages, des compétitions et de l'hébergement.

<div>Ces subventions sont réservées aux personnes qui peuvent prouver que leur situation familiale ne leur permet pas de développer leur talent sans bénéficier d'un soutien financier.
</div>

<div>Les sports d'hiver sont souvent considérés comme une pratique élitiste réservée aux personnes fortunées. La pression qui s'exerce sur les jeunes athlètes venant de milieux moins privilégiés est donc immense.
</div>
<div>Issue d'une famille ne disposant pas des moyens suffisants pour réaliser tout son potentiel, Ellie a dû affronter la double pression du financement et des

<div>Performances Cette pression est finalement devenue trop lourde à porter et Ellie a mis fin à ses jours en juillet 2018. La Fondation Ellie Soutter désire offrir un filet de sécurité aux jeunes talents qui, comme Ellie, sont une source d'inspiration pour les autres.

<div>Notre souhait est d'alléger au maximum la pression financière afin que ces athlètes puissent se concentrer sur leurs performances sans se préoccuper constamment des questions d'argent. Nous espérons favoriser la mobilité sociale en rendant les sports d'hiver plus accessibles à ces athlètes issus de milieux moins favorisés.

<div>Nous nous efforçons d'aider les jeunes à développer les compétences dont ils ont besoin pour gérer la pression et le stress.
</div>
<div>Nous apportons notre soutien à celles et ceux pour qui les défis de la performance ont pu causer, ou causent, des problèmes de santé mentale.
