The Aron Family

Donation protected

On June 1, 2020 my sister-in-law,  Jasmine went in for a routine check up for her  twins and ended up being rushed to Rush University in Chicago with severe preeclampsia. Jasmine did everything to fight to keep the babies in utero with her doctors to hold off delivery for as long as possible. After 5 days, Jasmine & Jeffery were informed that an emergency c-section was needed in order to save all 3 lives (mom & twins). Ellie-Mae and Savannah were born with severe growth restrictions (IUGR) at 27 weeks.

Ellie-Mae was born at 13.4 ounces. In addition to the IUGR, she has acute necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) and lung disease that she will fight for years to come. She fights for her life on a daily basis. At 7weeks old, she has already had 3 surgeries with another surgery to come in order to reconnect her intestines. Ellie-Mae's intestines, liver, and heart have a long road to recovery and each day is critical.

Her sister, Savannah, was born at 2.08 lbs., while not struggling as much as her sister, her lungs were premature and she needed respiratory support. She has battled through an infection and is currently off the respiratory support and getting stronger every day.

The family has been in the NICU unit for 58 days now and these donations will help with the rising medical expenses, including the necessary home care that will be needed for Ellie-Mae.
