Ellie’s fundraiser for intense physio in America❤️

Crowdfunding to get Ellie to America to have intense physio.
Hey I'm Jolene I have set up this crowdfunding page to raise money for my niece (partners niece) so that she can have intense physio out in America and to support Ellie with any needs she may need there or here until she gets her dream of walking again.
In 2015 Ellie was told she had a tumour inside her lung which they said was the size of a small watermelon, Ellie had to have an emergency operation to remove part of the tumour that was compressing on her spine.
A few weeks after her intial operation, when she had recovered ellie had to have a major operation to remove the whole tumour. The operation was successful however, during the operation there was an incision to the aorta (which is the main largest artery) which resulted in rapid aortic bleed to which Ellie lost an excessive amount of blood 6 litres in total.
After such a traumatic operation Ellie spent 8 days in a medically induced coma in intensive care, her organs were failing and she was suffering from abnormal blood pressure rates.
Failure of blood supply to the spinal cord caused damage to ellies spine which has left her paralysed waist down.
The impact it has had on Ellie is heartbreaking to see physically and not to mention mentally aswell. Simple tasks to everyone else such such as getting in and out of a car or getting dressed is not simple for Ellie. With a spinal cord injury it affects every organ below the level of injury including bladder and bowels, it affects the body more than anyone not in that situation knows.
You can always see that Ellie puts a smile on for everyone that shes around but deep in her eyes you can see how she really feels. Ellie is a talented smart beautiful now 18 year old with a love for art and she really is an inspiration, she just wants to live a normal teenage life that she has lost out on and have use of her legs again.
Throughout the year we have been doing fundraising, we took on tough mudder and have done Instagram raffles and my children have done sponser walk which has been amazing and the support has been so lovely this is so Ellie can go out to America for a period of time and have intense physio with a company called NeuroFit 360 , which is Florida's preeminent rehabilitation center for spinal cord injury patients. There mission is to challenge patients to do more, learn more, and gain more independence but most of all to push you to give your best.
Ellie has been fortunate enough to go out there and experience the hard work they do, they can see so much potential in ellie to possibly walk again and we really want her to be able to keep going out there and getting the amazing physio that she needs because we believe in her and them,
