Ellen & Hugh Beggs, Fire Relief
Ellen and Hugh Beggs, of Santa Rosa, CA. have experienced a total loss of their Home and all their possessions, other than 2 vehicles and their 2 cats.
With only 30-40 mins to evacuate their home, they escaped this horrific fire storm, wearing only the clothes they had on their back. All other life time possessions and daily needs have been totally destroyed.
They are physically unharmed, and now reside in a motel room, approximately 25 plus miles from their retirement residence in Santa Rosa, CA.
Ellen and Hugh have been, and are two of the kindest and most outgoing, thoughtful people many of us have ever known. I have had the honor of knowing Ellen and Hugh for over 15 years, and consider then Family, more than Friends
Having met and married, later in life....they have an Incredible and Unbreakable Love and Bond...that that radiates from their Union...and is experienced and shared with Everyone they meet.
Their Unwavering Friendship. Their Genuine, Priceless Personalities, Unmatched Character, Humor and Laughter, Their Sincerity ...and Their Love for all their Friends and Family.....are beyond what words can express.
Now as they try to rebuild and struggle to find their path back to the lives they once had in Santa Rosa....They Need Our Help....which we have seen them unselfishly given in the past and would give again to anyone....if the shoe was on the other foot.
At this time (Thursday, October 12th, 2017) The Santa Rosa Fire has destroyed over 2,000 plus residences, and numerous retail business, health related facilities, and impacted the city's infrastructure.
Guestimates of over 2 years plus, before the rebuilding of the city is even noticeable....and possibly even longer for them as far as returning to their previous home, are circulating.
They are in the process of trying to work with their insurance company, to find a better temporary housing arrangement and to determine the coverage for their loss. However with the extreme number of victims that have resulted from this fire in California ...compounded by the losses experienced by thousands of others in Houston, TX, Puerto Rico and other Islands. Key West and various other cities in Florida......there is an unprecedented amount of claims being initiated, the paper flow is off the charts, and protocol that must take place , has impacted and slowed the system to gain relief and assistance, to a snail’s pace.
Please try to make a donation to this Go Fun Me Fund Account, set up to help Ellen and Hugh.....And give to whatever level you can......as soon as possible. The Out of Pocket Expenses they are incurring, just to get clothing and daily essentials are an unexpected financial hardship.
They will sincerely appreciate your help....and if there are any additional donations of Linen, Pots and Pans, Dishes, Glasses, and Utensils, Small Appliances, or things along this line that you can assist with by making such a donation, everything will be greatly appreciated.
