Our dear friends Clare and Ella need us to chip in and support them through a really tough time.
Two weeks ago Ella was admitted to hospital with chest pains. The specialist concluded that her heart is in the early stages of heart failure and that open-heart surgery, in the next month, is the only option.
Her family knew she had a dodgy heart valve but didn't think it would be giving out so soon.
On Sunday 28th January Ella had suffered a Trans Iscemic Attack (TIA). Under an immense amount of pressure her Aortic Valve had calcified and part of this calcification broke off and travelled to her brain. Ella was incredibly lucky this time that it was transient, and didn’t cause lasting damage. The occurrence of a TIA is a risk factor for eventually having a stroke.
Here’s where we can help.
The imminent surgery will cost Clare and Ella $4,000 and they’ll need a bit extra to get through this period where Ella isn't able to work.
