Miss Ella is a 12-week old Westie puppy who was surrendered to North Atlantic Westie Rescue on 10/31/17. She was surrendered to receive the services of NAWR's special hospice program because she has a significant heart problem. Her former vet gave her the highest heart murmur grade on the scale and described her condition as "heart failure."
NAWR is determined to provide Ella with the very best diagnostic care possible. If she truly is dying, we want to make sure her treatment plan preserves what quality of life she has left. She is very much a puppy, but she is incredibly fragile. Her first cardiology appointment is for an echocardiogram and bloodwork/exam on 11/3/17. We estimate diagnostic work will cost about $1,000. We would like to raise $3,000 for her medical treatment in long-term/hospice. If surgery is an option, we want to make sure we have funds to ensure we can do that too. Please donate what you can.
