Elkin golden wedding

On 29 March (we chose the date long before the EU was even a twinkle in anyone's eye) we will have been married for 50 years.  My Loved One, Mr E - or just Nick - as he has variously known, tied the knot at St George' Church,  SE23 on 29 March. 1969. We are celebrating with the family over that weekend. I have told the family that, over half a century, we have collected enough "stuff". If, therefore, they want to give us a present then a donation to the Alzheimer's Society would make more sense. Then it occurred to me that others might like to chip in a pound or two as well - hence this appeal.  As many of you will know, Nick was diagnosed with this hateful disease two years ago and is deteriorating quite rapidly. This anniversary has, in fact, come just in time because soon he won't understand anything like that.  There is a lot more about our situation on my weekly blog: http://susanelkin.co.uk/articles/category/life/alzheimers-blog/ If you can help it will mean a huge amount to me.
