Eliza’s wheelchair fund

Donation protected
Eliza has been able to walk short distances for some time now, however even the walk to school is a bridge too far. At the moment we have a specialist buggy that we borrow from wheelchair services but now at the ripe old age of 4, almost 5 we feel she needs to make the change to a wheelchair before it becomes a big issue for her.
Wheelchair services do offer chairs but they are very heavy and cumbersome. They are hard to collapse and transport. They would also be impractical for anywhere other than a hard surfaces, so walking through the woods near us and going to farms etc just wouldn’t happen.
We also really feel that it’s extremely important for Eliza to have a chair she’s proud to be in, already she is saying people will laugh at her if she has to use a chair. It needs to be as gorgeous as she is and easy for her to learn to self propel in it, going forward there is likely to be times (after procedures and operations) where this is needed even more.
Lee and his brother and some friends are running the brighton half marathon to try and get sponsorship towards her chair, If you feel you are able to donate anything at all both Lee and I would be most grateful, but if all you do is share this post then that would be truly amazing. We would love to try and raise whatever is possible towards this.

If we do manage to reach the target we set any extra funds will go into a savers account for when Eliza has surgery to pay for Physio and Hydro that NHS only provide for a short period
