Elizabeth's Journey & Recovery

Elizabeth's Story

As you may know, Elizabeth received some devastating news a few weeks ago. Having to hear the gut wrenching words “IT’S CANCER! “ is unbelievably heart breaking to her and everyone involved.

Let me start from the beginning. Elizabeth was experiencing some pain on one of her legs. A lesion was discovered from the MRI results, and the Doctor stated the possibility it could be cancerous. From the help and support from family she went into the emergency room to explain her symptoms again and in hope of another opinion. The results from her visit came back with uncertainty since her blood work and CT scans looked good. The Doctor she seen at the moment mentioned to give it time and to return the following month for another MRI. As if that was not enough for someone to tell you to wait, unsure of the possibilities, she was also now suffering from pneumonia.

Although she was sent home, she continued to stay strong to fight off the pneumonia. That’s until her visit to her Gynecologist on Tue, Feb the 27th that turned all our lives upside down. It turns out that she needs a full hysterectomy, and she needed to be sent to the ER immediately to have all the fluid drained from her lungs. The pneumonia was not getting any better. Since then she’s been admitted into the hospital to undergo further more testing, and from her biopsy report it’s indeed stage 4 cancer. The CT scans in her chest and abdominal revealed more lesions under the arm and chest. Unclear of where it started it’s in her lungs, and spread to her bones and liver. This is now inoperable, incurable, but with treatment it may help prolong her life by some. Very unsettling to everyone considering the fact, how quickly this could have happened to her?

This is a woman, a believer of our Almighty God, so full of life no matter the situation. Would give a lending hand when needed. As much as we can ask ourselves why her? She doesn’t deserve any of this! She’s a blessing to have in our lives. An amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother and so forth that we don’t know how to begin with the uncertainty this holds for her future and the future of her family.

This is only the beginning of many more challenges and expenses they’re having to face, aside from the expenses everyone has on a daily basis. Normally Elizabeth “bebe”, is not one to even ask for help but this time she can't possibly do this alone. This will help towards any further medical bills, towards treatment, expenses for gas from her husband constantly traveling to and from work, home, and hospital. They're also now a one income family since she doesn't have enough strength or mobility. This is the time we as family and friends are asking for any generous donation. No matter how big or small. It’s deeply appreciated and won’t go unnoticed. Thank you!

With all our love, support, and prayers we will help her get through this! This is what’s helping her fight!
