Community Development Projects | C.R.

My goal was reached while in Costa Rica when I recieved an offline donation/scholarship of $1,000 from Ambassador Scholarship Foundation. Now that I have returned from the states and succesfully accomplished my trip, any further donations can go directly to CRHF by visiting their website and using PayPal. Thank you to those who supported me during my adventure both monetarily and in emotionally!

How The Funds Raised Will Be Used?
Funds raised will go directly towards the Foundation. I will choose how to allocate the money for various projects community development within CRHF. Some examples of projects are building a home for single teen mother, building a railing for 150 steps so the older population can get up and down safely, or buidling a pizza shop so that unemployed street kids can learn the value of earning money and staying out of trouble. Stay up to date! (Need Transparency? - Proof of fund usage can be obtained in writing)

What am I doing?
I have made the decision to become a long-term volunteer with Fundación Humanitaria(CRHF) as well as with the international non-profit Habitat For Humanity. During the last month of my trip I will dedicate all of my time to only working with CRHF and its volunteer groups. CRHF will focus its efforts mainly in La Carpio, an impoverished village in San Jose, focusing on community outreach, improvement and education. The Habitat For Humanity Headquarters is based in San Jose Proper, and works with 15 different HFH offices in Latin America, focusing on providing adequate housing through building projects and financial education. (See below for more information on each organization.)

Why am I going on this trip?
My end goal is to one day start a business that organizes large-scale fundraising events to benefit many non-profit missions around the globe. Blending my learned and native skills in management, carpentry, childcare and organizational logistics, I believe that I can bring valuable insights into the foundation and help both children and adults in the local community. I am eager to learn and hope to later pursue a successful and engaging career or entrepreneurial endeavor that incorporates my passions, skills, and acquired education and produces a valuable impact on the world. I believe that volunteering with the foundation will steer me in the direction of that goal as well as provide for a fulfilling experience in the present.
