Help Glow Save Lives

Firemen don’t buy their own fire trucks.  EMS Crews don’t buy their own ambulances.  Yet in many states, Disaster Dog Handlers must buy their own dogs.   Successful dogs can range from $2,500 to over $10,000 depending on their foundational work and training.   Glow  is an 18th month old  Belgian Malinois who is destined for greatness as a Disaster Search and Rescue Dog.  She was bred and is being trained to travel to calamitous disaster zones throughout the United States and around the world to find live victims of hurricanes, earthquakes, tornadoes, building collapses, flooding or wherever people are in peril.  I began this journey nearly a year ago and in April, acquired Glow from an elite and respected breeder who has been a part of the Disaster  Search and Rescue community for many years.   For the past five months I have been a full time volunteer dedicated to learn from the best on how to become a Disaster Search Handler in the hopes of joining a very elite Disaster Search and Rescue Team.   Glow and I are well underway to realizing our goal.  We are asking you to become a part of our journey.   It is an amazingly fulfilling journey that comes at a steep cost. Half of the money that we are seeking is the cost of acquiring Glow.  The other related costs are associated with Glow’s training gear, custom impact crash kennel, training travel and veterinary care/prescription drugs.   I have 40 years of volunteer experience as an Emergency Medical Services Responder in Morris County, NJ.   Please help Glow and me deliver that experience to disasters where we can help others who are at their most vulnerable.  Please share on Facebook!
