Building Supplies for Houses in Ecuador

On June 25th, I will be travelling to Ecuador with a group of around 30 pre-medical students. One of the things we'll get to do there is spend a week building houses for impoverished families in a poor region called Pallatanga (for more info on the project, check out http://ecuaexperience.com/pallatanga/home.html). I'm incredibly excited to be part of this project. It's an amazing opportunity to bless an underprivileged community out of the wealth that we've been given!
Now, to build houses, you need supplies, and to buy supplies, you need funds. So, each of us going on the trip is raising money to enable us to purchase building supplies once we get to Pallatanga!
I've set a personal goal to raise $1000.00! So far, through bake sales, garage sales, latte sales, and more, I've raised about $430.00. However, to reach my goal by the time I leave, I need your help.
Here's the deal: if each of you were to donate something small, something as little as $5.00, my goal of $1000.00 would be reached in no time. So my challenge to you is to skip your latte tomorrow. Pack a bag lunch instead of eating out. Bike to work instead of using gas. Scrounge under the couch cushions for change. If there's any way you can find even a few bucks to spare, you can help me change the lives of a community of beautiful, deserving people in Ecuador.
