Honoring Elisapesi Toetu’u

My name is Lulu Wilson. My family quickly became very close with the Toetuu/Garcia’s a few years ago. They are some of the most generous, welcoming people I know and have basically become family to us. Kaila and Antonio Toetuu are parents to two beautiful children, Tia, 4, & Sunny, 6. Antonio’s mother, Elisapesi, at the age of 50, was diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer in November 2017 and was given 6 months to live. Her family immediately rallied around and were doing their best to make the most of the time they had left with her while giving her the best care possible. She had a wonderful giving husband and 4 children, who were quick to be by her side, as she was an extremely loving and wonderful mother to them all. Antonio is 27, Salote is 17, Aisea is 16, and Lavinia is 13 Amidst the stress of time ticking away and facing the impending loss of a loved one, Elisapesi suffered a stroke on March 2nd, 2018. She was rushed to the hospital and was given CPR the entire way there until they got a pulse. She was put on life support and given a few short hours to live. 8 hours later she passed away. Elisapesi was admired and adored by her entire family. She was a nurse and dedicated her life to helping others, and now we need to help honor her and properly celebrate her life. Unfortunately, the cost of burying a loved one is quite high and it’s unrealistic to expect a hard working middle class family to afford it. . Her loving husband also unfortunately has health problems of his own and cannot bear the financial burden of his wife’s passing alone. That’s why I’m creating this page, because it’s not unrealistic to ask people to come together and help out a grieving family in their time of need. Much Aloha and thank you for visiting this page. :)
