Hello again friends and Family!
As most of you know, I've been here in Quito, Ecuador for the past couple of months with SUBMERGE learning, serving and growing. I have had an amazing time learning about missions, and about myself, and how those two things are so interwoven. After taking time to pray and seek God, I feel in my heart that there is still more to learn from beautiful Ecuador.
Submerge has a secondary leadership program called SUMMIT. During Summit we are given the oppertunity to apply all that we have learned during Submerge by leading the next Submerge team through the three month program. We are trusted with much more responsibility, and freedom. We will be not only leading the next team, but also taking valuable leadership classes, while being personally invested in and encouraged to pursue our own individual goals and dreams.
Coming to Submerge, for me, was about answering the question of whether or not missions is what I want/feel called to do. After about two months here, I sense only affirmation to this calling. I feel that I have only fallen deeper in love with missions, and all that it means. Having the oppertunity to do Summit, would for me be a chance to rise inside of what I now know I want to do. It would be a chance to knock and doors and seek to intentionally grow as a leader and disciple-maker.
Summit is an additional 3 months, beginning on August 14th, and ending about November 16th.
The cost of Summits program is about $2,350. In addition to this cost, I'll need finances for food and travel (including the fee for changing the date of my flight out of Quito, and extension on my visa and travel insurance) A total of about $4,000.
I know that this is a lofty goal, with deadline quickly approaching, but I believe and trust in God's provision.
I am so incredibly thankful for all of you, and how you have walked with me! I would so appreciate any support you feel led to give on this next leg of the journey.
