In April 2017, our dear friend, Valerie Wood, received devastating news; She was diagnosed with Choriocarcinoma

There are no words that can truly express what an incredible woman Valerie is. Those who know her would describe her as loyal, kind, hilarious, and selfless. She has a handsome 5-year old boy, Eli.  As busy as she is working to support herself and her son, she has always managed to bring love and joy to everyone around her. 

Val recently noticed that something was wrong with her. Several confused hospital visits, two minor operations, and several doctors later they discovered the tumor.

Last month Val began receiving chemotherapy and continues to fight her battle against Cancer. While she is a fighter, we all know that this isn't going to be an easy ride and they will have a tough road ahead.  She will be undergoing several tests, aggressive chemotherapy and other cancer-related treatments on her journey to get well.

We ask that you help join her in the fight to beat Cancer and support her and Eli by helping offset treatment costs, childcare, and lost wages.  Let's alleviate the financial burden and stress so that she can focus on what is most important, getting well.  No donation is too small.  In fact, if everyone gave a nickel for each time Val has made them smile we could easily cover the cost of treatment and then some.
