<div>Our family is reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for support for Elijah, a 30-year-old boilermaker and drywaller, loving partner, and devoted father to his baby boy, Augustus, who just turned 1.

<div>Since the beginning of this year, Elijah has been unwell and searching for answers. After months of uncertainty, countless appointments, and finally transferring his care from up north to Toronto, he was recently diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma. 
</div>

<div>This devastating news has turned his world—and ours—upside down.
</div>
<div>Elijah is about to begin aggressive chemotherapy. 
</div>
<div>While we remain hopeful and determined, the reality is that this treatment will take him out of work for the foreseeable future.
</div>
<div>As the primary provider for his young family, this has added enormous stress on top of the fight of his life.
</div>

<div>On top of battling cancer, Elijah also faces another serious challenge: after finishing chemotherapy, he will need heart surgery. He was born with a congenital heart problem that required open-heart surgery as a baby. While going for a routine cardiac follow-up, in May 2025, the doctors discovered he will require open heart surgery to replace his aorta and aortic valve.

<div>We are asking for your help to ease the financial burden so Elijah can focus entirely on healing and being present with his family.

<div>Funds raised will go directly towards living expenses, travel for treatments, and supporting his partner and baby during this difficult time.
