Elgrit Russell- Animal Rescuer 2017

As many of you may already know, there is a woman in a nursing home in PA, named Elgrit Russell. She lives there with her cat, Lockett.
Elgrit has spent 50 years of her life saving animals. For those of you on her email list, you know she is quite passionate over this and will do anything for them.
Elgrit has no family. She has very few visitors. She lives off social security, which is taken by the nursing home. For the past 3 years (now 4), I have started a GoFundMe account for Elgrit. I take her the money when I make my annual pilgrimage out to see her and take her out for lunch, in January or February. In the past, Elgrit has used this money (usually $500-$600) for small treats for herself (she LOVES eating out at restaurants) and for her cat. (Elgrit's birthday was also a couple of days ago.)
This year is a little different and Elgrit really needs our help more than ever. Elgrit has had a VERY difficult year with her health again this year. She has been ill quite a few times, being hospitalized for several different things. In addition to being in constant pain and using a wheelchair everywhere she goes, she now has a new major problem. She is losing her hearing. Without her hearing, she loses all communications on the phone. This makes her small world even smaller.
Elgrit needs a very specific type of hearing aids. They are NOT covered by Medicare and will cost approximately $3,000. There is absolutely no way on earth she can get these hearing aids, unless we band together and send her the money to buy them. Would you please make a donation for Elgrit right now? After all, but for the grace of God, that could be you or I sitting there all alone, with the world getting smaller every day.

When I deliver the money to Elgrit, I also give her a printout of everyone who donated and what the GFM fees were, that are taken out. She receives all the net monies.
