<div>It's not periods that stop girls going to school, it's the lack of access to sanitary products, the lack of of knowledge of menstrual health and access to support and facilities.
</div>
<div>That's where we come in. We can use the privilege afforded to us by being from the UK to help awe-inspiring local leaders with such challenges.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We facilitate Women's workshops, teaching about women's reproductive health and provide thousands of reusable sanitary products. We're able to do this because of you - <strong>crowdfunding</strong> our way to more empowered communities!

<div><strong>What YOUR donations will do in 2024:</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In September 2024 a small team are headed back to Uganda! Eager to see our friends again, we'll work with local leaders to direct the money we raise. Every penny of what we receive in donations is invested directly into empowerment work. The costs of the charity are paid for by our volunteers.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With your donations we'll be able to reach <strong>500 women and girls</strong>, providing essential education on female reproductive health through women's Empowerment workshops. We'll provide <strong>thousands of reusable sanitary products</strong> to women and girls across the communities we work with. This year we want to go even further, promoting empowerment through supporting men and women with mental wellbeing, helping with access to healthy food, and improving access to education.

</div>
<div><strong>Who are we?</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I'm Jake, and I've been involved in community work in Uganda since 2019. As of this year I decided to make a long term ambition, a reality. I recruited 4 talented leaders and together we formed Elgon Empowerment.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>From an idea that began in an introverted kid's uni hall, to an association which supports hundreds of women and girls. I'm unbelievably proud of how far this idea has come.
</div>
<div>However, together, we can go much further...
