Walt Queen’s Celebration of Life Memorial Service Friday, May 20, 2022 at 1 pm "The Block" At Southeast Christian Church Main Campus 920 Blankenbaker Parkway, Louisville, KY 40243 Per Walt's wishes, this service will be to honor God and His Kingdom and to celebrate Walt's life and impact on his family, friends, and community. Children welcome, at your own discretion. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made through Walt's GoFundMe page set up to help with medical bills, funeral costs, and Walt’s wife Barbara as God continues to provide for her and as she navigates the challenging days ahead.

Santa received some very difficult & heartbreaking news that he has Stage 4, terminal, soft-tissue Sarcoma Cancer and will be requiring some major medical attention immediately.

 

He is the grandfather I never had, the mentor my husband and I have leaned on in our new marriage, and the most kind-hearted genuine friend a person could ever wish for. Walt brings so much joy and light to families all across Kentuckiana with his work as Santa! He is now facing something no one ever wants to go through.

 

Some days he is feeling ok but some days he is not. He and I and his family have high hopes that his cancer can be treated but the procedures he will need may keep him from working and securing an income.

He wants more than anything to be able to remain in his home while he fights this battle and to allow his wife Barb to remain there for many years to come without worries!  For this reason, we are hoping you will find it in your hearts to help us try to make a Christmas Miracle happen and we hope to raise enough to pay off their home, pay some bills in the near future, make sure they are well-fed and not worrying about meals and cover any medical related expenses that aren't already covered. 

 

I am asking anyone who feels compelled to help donate towards any costs that Walt and his wife Barb may incur. Every little bit will help so any donation large or small is welcome and appreciated so very much! Prayers are welcome too!
