Elevated Transportation HELP / COVID 19

To whom it may concern

This is a hardship letter for elevated transportation, owned and operated by Charles and Gabriella Vogt.

Some of our employees and drivers are in need of the basic essentials including food. 


We are a black car limo service catering to Tahoe’s vacationers and longtime locals.




Lake Tahoe’s economy is based on tourism and 90% of our jobs in the area are Tahoe-based.




We are a five star service based in Lake Tahoe with the Ritz Carlton being more than half of our business. The Ritz Carlton Lake Tahoe has closed and also the ski resort attached to the hotel Northstar at Tahoe




Because of the measures being taken to control the covid-19 :




All reservations have been canceled and refunds issued to all customers.




All ski resorts in Lake Tahoe have closed. With it only being halfway through the season it has completely destroyed the local economy.




All restaurants and major hotels that we service have all closed




All schools have closed forcing our kids to be at home




I’ll taxi and limousine services in the area have closed their doors.

 

Our business has been completely halted out income completely cut off




We have three kids to also support including a three-year-old.




And this has caused severe hardship.

Our living expenses and business obligations have made our saved income drop to nothing.




The high price of living in Tahoe also is not helping.




Our rural location has made it impossible to find other work.
