<div>Our team has grown since we last posted on this page.
</div>
<div>We now have 6 in our team, all in their early twenties. As the only club still of its type in the country, competition is limited. There are still European &amp; World Championships but with a larger team it costs so much more, which means more funding needed.
</div>

<div>I was asked if I could advise a group of young people near Trim, Ireland with Down’s Syndrome that were interested in Synchro (Artistic Swimming) Which happened two years ago, &amp;, this group has grown from strength to strength. 
</div>

<div>It was decided to have a training camp in Ireland, with both groups working together as one, each group helping each other with the different elements.
</div>

</div>
<div>Our first camp was this Easter 2024 in Ireland, both teams stayed together in a beautiful boarding school, called Clongowes. We had use of all of the beautiful amenities within the school, staying in the boarding houses. We had fitness sessions, land sessions, swimming sessions, make up sessions, Irish dancing, disco, lots of fun &amp; most important we made new friends. The swimmers were also independent as we left the parents here in England.

<div>This was really very successful, new routines were developed, which we performed to the school staff that were on duty that week. This was great for us all, as we had an audience to perform to., instead of a empty swimming pool 
</div>

<div>Such a great time was had by all, that it was suggested that we would like to do this again maybe on a yearly basis, with the eventual idea that we would have a group that we could compete with. This is a really great thing for us to do, it helps with independence, health, as we suffer from many difficulties. Making new friends &amp; so much more.
