Electric wheelchair for Elijah who can’t walk.

Hello everyone! I want to speak to those who have a compassionate heart...Elijah is one of the most beautiful souls I know. His life changed a couple of years ago when He got into a motorcycle accident and experienced clinical death for 4 minutes. Fortunately He was revived, but he was left with devastated  consequences; a broken back and the inability to walk anymore...My heart is breaking in so many pieces because of the struggles I see him going through. Every day is so challenging but he keeps so positive and does not give up. No matter how hard it is, he pushed himself to still do fun things, we even got him on a swing, so we can remember our childhood. It was such a challenge to make it happen but nothing compares to pulling him up the stairs. I cried trying to pull him up while he was doing his best to pull all his weight up with just his arms while I was trying to pull the wheelchair underneath him on step higher. But failure after failure occurred when he kept falling back into his chair, even together we lacked strength. It was thanks to a girl that God sent our way that we were able to pull him up forces joined...Can you imagine having this happen to you daily ? Can you imagine having to crawl on your belly up the concrete stairs because there is no one around to help ? I don’t understand why our country won’t provide wheelchairs that are electrical and that go up the stairs for everyone... I am beyond disappointed because of how overlooked these people are and how much money goes to crap while good people suffer to even get around.  We are called to make it at least somewhat easier for them, life is already so hard for them. If you can help in any way, I know it would change Elijah’s life for the better, making his burden easier. I will gather the difference in money if we can’t get enough here, but the more help I get the faster we will be able to get him a chair that goes up the stairs and gets him around easier. It is mind blowing to me that these types of chairs cost from 12k to 40k, these things should be free! But it seems like the world we live in does not work like that.
