Electric Longboarding Startup

My roommate and I are Mechanical Engineering Students at Iowa State University. During our sophomore year, we were both introduced to longboarding. Having an immensely engineering mindset, we turned our attention to creating an electric longboard that outperformed any other competitor on the market. As you can see in the photo included in this profile, there has been a severe complication. After a battery malfunction, the longboard combusted causing more than $800 worth of damages. Additionally, the fire department was called in order to put out the inferno that the lithium-ion battery cells caused. All funds received through "go fund me" will be used in perfecting the electric longboard and possibly even catapulting us into the electric longboard providing business. I would like to personally thank anyone who is kind enough to support us in this endeavor.
