North Etobicoke Catholic Schools are in dire need of fresh ideas and strong leadership. Many schools continue to struggle with low EQAO scores, increased violence, language barriers, lack of funding and resources, low parent engagement and more.
The role of the School Trustee is to set policies, establish a budget that focuses on student achievement and well-being, and provide strategic direction for the Board as a whole. They are locally-elected representatives of the public, and they are the community’s advocate for public education. A trustee participates in making decisions that benefit the entire board district while representing the views and decision of the board back to their constituents.
I’ve been building to this role as a parent, a resident, an education advocate and a collaborative community partner for years. I have PROVEN experience that show my strength, understanding and passion in education, parent involvement, and community building.
There is a time to step up and be part of the solution; to be bold and take action. For me, that time is now. North Etobicoke needs a new voice that advocates and represents the families needs at the Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) in Ward 1. I am that School Trustee Candidate that will make it happen.
To create that change we all want to see, I need to have a seat at the table. In simple terms, that means being elected as the TCDSB School Board Trustee for Ward 1. This takes time and in today’s world, it takes money. That is my ask of you today…..can you help me to become a strong voice at the TCDSB? Can you please donate some amount, no matter how small it may seem, to a cause that is heartfelt for me, and one that will benefit many children and their families for generations to come.
