More information about Friends of Eldora Parks and Recreation: This group of local individuals are dedicated to the promotion of the parks and recreation in the community of Eldora, Iowa. Our goals include keeping the beautiful parks that we currently have well maintained and welcoming. More shelters and grills for family picnics and gatherings, updating names to our veterans memorial and adding/improving adequate parking are all on our list of improvements.  Future plans include a disc golf course, a dog park and a skate park. This year, we have already added better night time lighting and fresh paint to the aquatic center.  In the heart of the Greenbelt, Eldora is nestled along the beautiful Iowa River and Pine Lake State Park and is home to many recreational sports - boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, hiking, walking and biking. The Friends of Eldora Parks and Recreation will work hard to continue to keep Eldora a great get-away for families and guests!
