Dnes se na Vás Život postaru obrací s prosbou o příspěvek k uskutečnění velkého Setkání yachaků (léčitelů) s dobrým srdcem konané v Ruku Samay v Ekvádoru v Únoru 2020. Jeho účelem je sdílení jejich tradičních znalostí a moudrosti a otevření diskuze na téma jejich zachování a předávání z generace na generaci a udržitelnosti vědomého života v džungli a její ochranu.
Tento čas je obdobím zlomu, kdy poslední moudří, kteří měli hluboké napojení na prales, odcházejí na druhou stranu a je zde jen málo lidí, kteří by z mladé generaci v jejich úkolu chránit prales pokracovali.
Společně se stařešiny chceme tedy najít způsob, jak legálně vrátit původní způsob výuky jejich vnukům. Tedy způsob učení se od dědečků, od pralesa, řek, přírody samotné. Není nutno podotýkat, že školský systém v Ekvádoru takto nefunguje, bere si za příklad západní systém školství učení se nazpaměť v lavicích.
Pro uskutečnění setkání odhadujeme náklady 14 000 USD:
-Transport všech starších a jejich doprovodu do Ruku Samay
-Jídlo pro ně a také dobrovolníky pomáhající s akcí
-Materiál na výrobu postelí pro stařešiny, opravu toalet a střechy v koupelně
-Nákup přikrývek a matrací, nákup hrnků a talířů
-Jídlo pro dobrovolníky pracující mnoho týdnů předtím na přípravě zázemí
Toto Setkání je prvním krokem našeho záměru založení Pralesní školy a školky. V poslední dekádě jsme na vlastní oči viděli, jak moc se toho změnilo i díky zásahům státu. Nám ale moc záleží na tom, aby se toto vědění neztratilo jak se tomu stalo již v mnoha kulturách, včetně té naší české.
Od roku 2008 se zavírají malé školy v komunitách a roku 2014 vstoupil v platnost zákon, jíž rodiče dětí, které neplní povinnou školní docházku, pošlou na 3 roky do vězení. Děti tak odcházejí do města, kvůli povinné školní docházce, cítí touhu žít v komfortu a nechtějí se vracet zpět do pralesa. Již se neučí moudrosti stařešinů a pralesa.
Mezi zakladateli Života postaru je Agustinem Grefou z ekvádorského kmene Kičua a jeho česká manželkou Míša Grefa Juraštíková. Život postaru je nezisková organizace zabývající se ochranou a konzervací pralesa, jeho přirozených obyvatel spolu s jejich kulturou, včetně jazyka. Grefovi žijí napůl v ČR a napůl v Ekvádoru, kde pořádají mnohé akce rozšiřující povědomí o situaci v pralese s důrazem na možnosti, jak jej lze chránit.

Today, Zivot postaru is raising money for the Gathering of good-hearted healers at Ruku Samay, Ecuador, in February 2020. Its purpose is to share their ancestral knowledge and create open debate on how to ensure this knowledge & nature wisdom is passed onto the next generation and the natural way of connection and life in the jungle preserved.
This time is a tipping point where elders, who still have profound knowledge and deep connection to the rain forest, are passing away and their knowledge with them. Less and less younger people maintain their deep connection and sense of protection to the rain forest.
We want to find ways how to maintain schools supporting a natural way of studying for indigenous communities. Western-type schooling where kids go to school, sit by the table for certain hours and memorize subjects is NOT how the indigenous learn. They learn by experience, from multiple “abuelos”, i.e elders in the community who take them for walks in the rainforest. Nature, daily life in the families and community teach them.
We have budgeted total of 14.000 USD which includes:
- Travel 25 healers with their spouse to Ruku Samay (50 ppl)
- Food for all for 4 days of the gathering
- Material for beds, fixing the toilets, fixing the roof at the bathroom house
- Blankets and mattresses, cups and plates
- Food for volunteers who help us prepare the space and build beds
This Gathering is the first step in our intent to support the indigenous way of schooling. We want to ensure the ancestral knowledge to continue being passed down from generation to generation so that it does not get lost as it already happened in so many cultures, including our Czech. In the last decade, a lot happened in Ecuador and we can see the negative impact with our own eyes.
Since 2008, the small public schools in all communities started to close down and in 2014, a new law went into effect. the parents of each child who does not go to the elementary school are sent to jail for 3 years. Among others, these events forced the indigenous to move to the cities which then breaks their connection to living in the rainforest.
This gathering is crucial for our “forest school” project as we need to learn from the elders what they are willing to do and what is a format that will ensure the best for the forest and its native inhabitantswhile adhering to legal aspects the State enforces. Once we know the best format that respects the indigenous ways, we can progress to the education center building as the 2nd step.
Among Zivot Postaru founders are Allpa Grefa, an indigenous from Ecuadorian Kitchwa tribe and his Czech wife Michaela Grefa Jurastikova. Zivot postaru is an NGO with a goal to protect and conserve the rainforest, its natural inhabitants along with their culture, including their language. Agustin and Misa live part of the year in the Czech Republic and the other in Ecuador where they organize events to educate about the preservation of nature with an accent to the protection of the Amazon rainforest and the cultures living there.
