Elderly veteran father at risk of losing home

My father, a disabled veteran, got sick with respiratory issues and cognitive decline as a result of low oxygen shortly after buying his home. He was a very successful IT specialist before his illness hit and capable of paying his debts. As a result, he was forced to declare bankruptcy and became subject to a bankruptcy court trustee. We moved in to take care of him. We have been waiting for the VA to approve his disabilities for over a year. I have done everything possible to protect him and keep his mortgage current so he doesn’t lose his equity but the trustee is greedy. As a result, the trustee is threatening to sell his home on 12/30. The debts remaining owed are $50,000 after gofundme.com takes their cut. I am prequalified to buy the house for him but the trustee assigned by the court is greedy in the current market and won’t sell it to me unless I come up with the amount listed on GoFundMe. He is instead looking for the highest bidder and I can’t compete to save our family home. Essentially the bankruptcy trustee is stealing my father’s equity and capitalizing on his illness and inability to pay. I am a Marine Corps veteran and my father is a Navy Vietnam War veteran and we are asking the nation to help us.
