Elderly rescue dogs urgently need your help

We URGENTLY need some help. Your kind donation will make a big difference to neglected senior dogs this Christmas. We can't help them without you.

 

We've recently had an influx of older dogs who need a lot of medical care. A lot of these special needs dogs go into specially chosen forever foster homes to make sure they are safe and loved for the rest of their lives. This means we will pay all their medical bills and other needs for the remainder of their lives. It's so amazing seeing the positive changes in them, but it costs money.

There's Toby, the 14 year old Jack Russell Terrier and Timon, the 12 year old Pomeranian mix that need heaps of dentistry work done. Their teeth are rotten and painful and lots need to be removed. Timon was left to live outside, very neglected and is very skinny because of his painful teeth.

 

 

 

Then there's Yoyo, cute Shih Tzu mix who suffers from dry eye and is almost blind and has a heart murmur. This poor boy came to us with his stomach distended with tapeworms and full of fleas, and his nails needed half an inch cut off them. He'd had some seizures before he came to us so we need to help him really urgently.

11 year old Rollee the Kelpie came in with AJ the beautiful 9 year old Lab who suffers from high anxiety. When we got them, AJ's ears were thick and sore from long-term allergies. They're fostered together while we sort out AJ's allergies so he can have some relief, and so the two of them can learn to feel safe again.

I haven't even talked about Axel the Border Collie, and Rusty the Red Cloud Kelpie, the two gorgeous working dogs who, like many of these special dogs, hadn't been to the vet since they were puppies. And Ellie the tabby-cat who was going to be put to death regardless of being a healthy elderly lady.

 

These pets need more help. Most of them need microchipping and sterilising as well. They were all unwanted animals whose lives we are enhancing with care, safety, healthy food and the medical attention they've missed out on for so long.
