Elbert Dudde’s Road to Recovery

Hello family, friends and community! I am reaching out on behalf of my brother, Elbert Dudde (Al), to ask for your help in raising funds desperately needed to continue his road to recovery.

For those that don’t know Al’s story, he is a 51 year old single father of 3 girls and has suffered a heart attack along with multiple strokes on both sides of his brain back in May. He spent 7 weeks in the hospital with countless other medical issues and was finally moved to a nursing home/rehab facility in early July. His medical issues have impacted his ability to talk, walk, eat, and care for himself without 24 hour care. He’s made some progress in these areas although it’s been very slow and continued rehabilitation is necessary to further his recovery, assist him in regaining strength, health, and function lost due to his medical issues.

The most challenging part of Al's situation is that he does not have health insurance nor any source of income at this time. Thus far he's accumulated over $130,000 in medical expenses and is still in need of ongoing rehab and heart bypass surgery.
