Elaine Dzeima House Fire HELP

On the morning of Friday January 12th our dear friend Elaine Dzeima was feeding her precious cats and making breakfast when a fire started in her kitchen.  She is 74 years old and lives alone and has no family but her precious fur babies.  She ran out of the house across Almonesson Road to the Blenheim Fire Dept to try to alert them of the fire but no one could hear her banging on the door.  A neighbor saw her running in the road and stopped and called 911.  She tried to again run back into the burning house to save her animals but the fire department had to restrain her. She received minor burns to her hands. Three of her cats perished in the fire. Luckily two were saved. We have searched the house  looking for one that is still missing but with no luck.  Unfortunately Elaine does not have homeowners insurance.  She informed us that it was canceled because her house needed to be painted and she couldn’t get it done in the time they asked.  She has lost everything. She is staying with a friend now. But she will need money to cover expenses to rebuild her home.  She has been a resident of Gloucester Twp and lived
in that house her entire life. It was her family home for at least 74 years.  Elaine is the most kind hearted person you will ever meet. She is a member of the Southwest Blenheim Neighborhood Watch with her other neighbors.  She helps us with National Night out every year.  She donates to local charities.  She is a devoted member of The Old Pine Farm Natural Lands Trust and the Gloucester Co Nature Club. Now is the time that we as a community need to give back to her. Any donations will help her.  Thank you so much.  This is just heartbreaking.

Update 2/9/18:  Thank you to Kelly Markowitz for generously starting this campaign!  Please keep your donations coming!  The damage is greater than originally thought and it will be very expensive to  rebuild. We need all the help we can get !
