Consejos, contactos, amigos, recomendaciones, etc.

¡Y mucha buena energía!

The TET in Europe

The Center of Artistic Creation TET was founded in Caracas, Venezuela in 1972 as the Experimental Theatre Workshop. Since then, almost fifty years ago, it has been exponent and reference of Venezuelan theater.

Actual TET’s repertory includes the play El padre de todos nosotros (The father of all of us) original of the Spanish author David Desola and directed by the master Guillermo Díaz Yuma, TET’s director. The actors are: Patricia Castillo, Iván Dalton, Sara Azócar, Silvia Gouverneur and Richard Mercado.

This play was presented succesfully in an eight-weekend-season in February 2019 in the house theater of the TET, Luis Peraza Theater. Then we had two representations in the International Theater Festival in Caracas, in April 2019.  Since then, we have been invited to participate in different international festivals and spaces:

·      Festival escenarios del mundo en Cuenca, Ecuador, where we had two representations on October 2nd 2019, with 400-600 spectators.

·      Patio de Comedias de Quito, Ecuador, with also two representations on October 6th and 7th.2019.

·      Iberoamercian Theater Festival Adelante 2020 in Heidelberg, Germany, where we wil have two representations on February 2nd and 3rd 2020. https://www.adelante-festival.de/de/venezuela

This invitation to Germany makes us really happy and excited, as is the first and only Venezuelan representation in this festival since it’s first edition in 2017, which is really a privilege.

The festival Adelante 2020 covers some expenses on the tickets, but we need to buy three tickets as soon as possible to guarantee our participation on the festival. On the other side, we want to use this big jump to Europe also to plan a tour with the play, with representations in Madrid and Barcelona, Spain. Also, the director of the group, Guillermo Díaz Yuma, has been invited to give two workshops about acting training in Barcelona and Paris. To do all this, of course, we need money.

This is why we are doing this campaign of crowd funding, where everyone who can and want to collaborate with this wonderful opportunity is welcome. The incomes received will be destinated to concrete the necessary elements in production (three tickets Venezuela-Europe-Venezuela, transportation in Europe, accommodation, food, etc.)

We thank infinitely any support that you could offer to make this trip in which we will represent, in different European cities, our country, that really needs to leave it’s name high, with the best we can do: theater.

The support can be offered in many ways:

Economical. Any amount, as tiny as it may seem, will be an important support to us.

Diffusion of information. So the campaign can reach as much people as possible.

Trust networks. Friends, family, knowns that can help us with accommodation in Madrid and Barcelona, food or transportation (Ccs-Airport-Ccs, Madrid-Barcelona-Madrid). Tips, contacts, friends, recommendations, etc.

¡And tons of good energy!

 ___________________________

Talking about communism and capitalism today, in the middle of a society that goes towards everywhere, is remembering us without something to hold, recognizing us in an inexhaustible search, in inexhaustible countries and in a specie, no doubts,
inexhaustible. El padre de todos nosotros is a contemporary piece written by the Spanish author David Desola. In the story, five siblings are reunited to dispute the selling of a video of their dead father to the Coca Cola, so that the company can make a publicity spot. The spot ends up being an excuse so that all the family trash can get afloat. This trash is, basically, the social trash, the media scandal in which we are immerse daily. The misery, in this case, is one family tragedy.

Ernesto, the dentist; Ramón, the unemployed communist; Cristina, the wife who lives for her husband and kids; Luz, the actress, also unemployed; Mirta, the little mature emo; and the omnipresent figure of the father, start to blur until we find ourselves with the nothing of every one of them, their real axis and motor that impulses them to continue being part of a sad story. El padre de todos nosotros is the actual voice of some of each craziness that moves our present. It’s a “comitragedy” as its author describes, and is also a beach house with five siblings that want to remember how is it to play together.
