Con profunda tristeza anunciamos el fallecimiento de Pedro Marroquín, un hombre de familia devoto que trajo amor, fortaleza y unidad a todos los que lo rodeaban. Pedro vivió en los Estados Unidos con la única intención de brindar estabilidad financiera a su familia, haciendo todo el trabajo que pudo, incluso cantando en una banda de mariachis durante muchos años tanto en Rhode Island como en Massachusetts (su nombre artístico era El Gallito De Oro). Durante la pandemia de 2020, enfermó de COVID, lo que resultó en una enfermedad pulmonar debilitante con la que logró vivir durante los últimos 4-5 años. Como sus hijos ya son adultos y han sido criados por un padre y una madre excepcionales, la esposa se encuentra ahora en la situación de tener que resolver su situación financiera en el futuro sin Pedro. La esposa ha dedicado su vida a la crianza de sus hijos y ahora nietos mientras su esposo se las mejoraba para mantener a la familia. It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Pedro Marroquin, a devoted family man who brought love, strength, and unity to everyone around him. Pedro lived in the United States with the sole intent of bringing his family financial stability, doing whatever work he could including singing in a mariachi band for many years in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts (his stage name was El Gallito De Oro). During the pandemic in 2020, he fell sick with COVID which resulted in a debilitating lung disease which he managed to live with for the past 4-5 years. Facing his health battles with incredible strength and grace, Pedro demonstrated the true meaning of facing adversity with resilience.
As we prepare to honor his memory, we wish to fulfill his final request: to be laid to rest beside his beloved mother in El Salvador. This was his heartfelt wish, a testament to the deep bond he shared with her. In doing this, he departs from his beloved family; their three sons and his wife. Being that their children are all adults and have been brought up by an outstanding father and mother, the wife finds herself having to now figure out her financial circumstances in the future without Pedro. His wife has dedicated her life to her children's and now grandchildren's upbringing as her husband managed to provide for the family. Now that she is alone, it would be greatly appreciated to take into consideration that the remaining donated funds will be used to keep her afloat in the midst of the new changes that came with the death of her husband.
