El Chucho Employee Fund

Dear friends, a number of wonderful guests have asked us to create a vehicle through which they can contribute financially to the tipped and other employees who are now out of work due to El Chucho's closure.

This campaign is the equivalent of one week's wages if we were to pay all tipped employees and hourly staff minimum wage.  These funds are exclusively for tipped and hourly employees and will be divided equally among them according to average weekly hours.  Please donate if you can, any amount would be greatly appreciated.

For our part, we are offering a variety of aid to our employees within the best of our abilities.  Any inventory we can't use is being distributed to employees; we are providing daily meal packages to all employees while we are closed; we will pay 100% of employee health insurance premiums through April; and we have launched a community kitchen/carryout service for the purpose of aiding our employees--100% of profits will go to furloughed staff.  (See our post: https://www.facebook.com/239994009413803/posts/2858406747572503/?sfnsn=mo)
