Teaching the Prophetic in Brazil: Youth and Adults

In 2014, I made a decision follow Jesus Christ on study abroad in Valparaíso, Chile. After that, I returned to Kansas and finished my bachelor's degree. Over the course of the following 6 years, I came to DC for a Master's in Early Childhood Education, started a Doctor of Educational Ministry degree, and taught in DC schools, in bilingual Spanish and English contexts. During the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, God used my passion for the Latino community to draw me to work at Sacred Heart Bilingual Catholic school. At Sacred Heart, I focusing on using technology to share the beauty of Jesus and impart a greater hunger for the Holy Spirit to my third and fourth grade students. You can see more of our work here. https://ageoftheunexpected.com/media/
Jesus used these and many other formative experiences to solidify a calling on my life to Latin America (more information here).  https://ageoftheunexpected.com/2022/04/13/how-did-god-draw-me-to-latin-america/

While I was in DC,  I was accepted in January 2021 into the Global Prophetic Alliance's Emerging Prophet's program. After months of training and practice over Zoom, I went to Glasgow Scotland for one week of Intensive training. During this time, Emma Stark and another leader prophesied over a calling to Latin America over me that aligned to my previous journey.  Before this word, all throughout 2021, I had been tracking closely with the Lord as he sent dreams, visions, and other revelation about a season of travel for accelerated training in ministry. About a month after receiving the word Last Christmas, Jesus sent me a final weighty prophetic dream with instructions to leave my teaching context. He then took me on a 1.5 month process of learning to hear his voice and another 3.5 months of traveling for accelerated training in ministry (to Glasgow, London, Munich, Singapore).  Once he had further developed my capacity in prophetic ministry, he opened up a door for me to teach adults, teens, and children at El Shaddai school in Sāo Joāo de Boa Vista, Brazil (in Sāo Paolo state). I have currently been in Brazil for several weeks. God has provided a family homestay, given me a warm welcome from the school and local church of all ages, and been pouring out grace for giving prophesy, teaching the prophetic in a group setting, and healing ministry as my local teammates and I pray.

I will be in Brazil until Mid-June, before I return to the US for several weeks for my summer doctoral coursework. I am fundraising so that I can return to the school and region as a missionary from August to December. When I asked God in February 2022 what specific amount to fundraise, he shocked me by telling me to ask for $50,000, not just for this appointment but for the sake of continued ministry within Latin America in the years to come.
