Help Support EKBIP!
Currently 1 in 68 children are diagnosed with Autism. Autism is now the fastest growing and most commonly diagnosed neurological disorder in Canada. Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) has no scientifically identified cause and occurs in all ethnic and socio-economic groups.
The East Kootenay Behaviour Intervention Program (EKBIP) is a regional program that supports children and their families throughout the East Kootenays who have received a diagnosis of Autism or require other behaviour intervention supports. The EKBIP provides evidence-based therapies and falls under the umbrella of the Community Connections Society of Southeast BC (CCS).
ASD spans a lifetime. Early intervention, such as the services and support provided by the East Kootenay Behaviour Intervention Program, has positive impacts on the quality of life for those within the program! There are 97 families within the East Kootenays currently receiving services from the EKBIP. While there is already an amazing team of staff members doing all that they can for these families, EKBIP is still in
need of your help to make this support the most efficient it can be!
The East Kootenay Behaviour Intervention Program needs tablets in order to develop and implement behaviour programming for individuals being supported. We are introducing an electronic data collection system in the New Year to best serve families of the East Kootenay region and your support is key! Would you consider donating to help us achieve our goal?
Your support allows for reduced operation costs and in turn allows individual funding to be used towards
increased direct contact to children and individuals accessing services. You can help provide families
within your community and individuals on the autism spectrum with the best possible support!
When not for profit agencies such as ours receive donations such as yours, it allows much of the funding
received to go to direct service! Any monetary donations received are tax-deductible as we are a Non-Profit Society Program under Community Connections Society of Southeast BC!
