Ekam USA's goal is to raise funds to support these children fighting for their life. They are critically ill and are in ICU. They need emergency medical support.
Their parents are daily wage workers who earn about 300 rupees a day (about $5) and cannot afford a $200 medication or $2000 hospital ICU stay every day.
These children may not see the new year without your support. So please donate generously.
Faras is a 4 month old baby diagnosed with VSD (ventricular septal defect in his heart), complicated by RSV pneumonia and ARDS with Congestive heart failure. His parents cannot afford his care. It is sad to see a parent give up on a child due to lack of financial support.
Master Bharani Dharan was diagnosed with a complex cardiac condition of TGA/ VSD/PS ( transposition of great arteries, which occurs in combination with ventricular septal defect and pulmonary stenosis). he is 6 months old now.For Bharani to have his first birthday, his dad, who is a farmer is unable to come up with the $12,000 for the arterial switch surgery needed to be done this month. Please give him a new life when we welcome a new year.
Baby of Janaki (they don't have to be named before discharge in India) was born preterm and has respiratory distress and sepsis, currently 4 months old and needing extensive care. Her family hopes that she will be like a normal baby soon.
2 year old Abirami was diagnosed with septic arthritis and needs an arthrotomy procedure. Her dad manages a tea stall and cannot afford the expensive surgery. Without health insurance, she can suffer through the pain and may be disabled for life, if not treated urgently with surgery.
Tushant is 16 months old and has been on the ventilator for 1 month. His father is a teacher and their savings have all been spent. Now he is depending on the support provided by you or his care cannot be continued.
Shalini didn't have a sweet 16 birthday yet. At 15 years and 8 months, she is struggling to fight jaundice with multiple complications. Her father is a day laborer and hopes that she can make it to her 16th birthday.
Ekam Foundation is Ekam USA's sister organization in India which pays for the healthcare of financially needy kids.
The money we raise will be used to cover pay the medicals bills incurred at various hospitals where they were treated or are awaiting treatment.
I have taken up a 12 days of Christmas Giving Challenge of my own to meet this goal of $50K before Christmas! Please help me let these kids celebrate their Christmas and not let it be their last Christmas!
