<div>Hi my name is Donna I am 49 years old. I can’t believe It’s back I went through breast cancer in 2019 and finished treatment in 2021 after a long drawn out treatment chemotherapy and radiotherapy. I thought that was the end of it. I’ve been clear for a short while now but not without the health problems it has left me with I take pain relief daily for fibromyalgia which can make me extremely sensitive to pain all over my body, and even the slightest touch is painful. I have a wonderful son (Tom) 11years old with additional needs (ADHD). I have worked in care for many years and looked after people that have needed my help and support with their care needs and helping them to maintain their independence which I have throughly enjoyed and has been my passion in life making Such a difference to people’s quality of life.

<div>I have set up this fundraising page to help fund the cancer treatment that I am so desperately in need of as this is not available on the NHS my cancer has now spread to my breastbone &amp; lung with metastasis. I’m awaiting chemotherapy which will only hold off the inevitable. My only chance is to raise the money and go private to fund this treatment to give me and Tom a chance of a future together .

<div>My son as you can imagine is absolutely devastated as am I. There is so much we want to do together I want to be given the opportunity to raise my son and not be in fear of this cancer coming back. I am a single parent myself and my son are very close it’s always been us.

<div>I have discussed with the consultant this immunotherapy treatment to cure my type of cancer, but as a single parent with a disability there is absolutely no way I can raise this money by myself. I am a very independent woman and would never ask for help off anyone but I want to be here for my son. I am currently awaiting Chemotherapy to prolong my life as much as possible however my time is limited with my son. Unfortunately the side effects of Chemotherapy are also damaging and come with their own side effects and long term issues. My only chance and hope is the treatment of Immunotherapy that is not available on the NHS.

<div>Immunotherapy is one of the most revolutionary cancer control methods invented in the 21st century. It consists of using the natural defences of the body to suppress and destroy cancer cells. Immunotherapy has proved to be particularly effective in the treatment of tumours in advanced stages that cannot be destroyed in other ways.

<div>A type of immunotherapy that is actively studied in foreign clinics is dendritic cell therapy. In combination with other methods of treatment, it shows promising results, without the typical side effects.

<div>Firstly I want to thank you all for the donations,unfortunately the goal wasn't reached.

<div>I wanted to apologise for the delay in updating you all but I have been on a very intense chemotherapy and not dealt with it well,unfortunately I found out the cancer has now spread to the brain which affects movement and balance,ive lost use in my left hand from nerve damage and the right hand is going the same way.
</div>
<div>I have had to surrender my driving licence as of 26th March 2025 as I'm at risk of seizures now too.
</div>
<div>I'm awaiting to see if I can goto the Queen Elizabeth for a type of radiotherapy on the brain also if surgery is an option.
</div>
<div>I will never be cured of this awful disease but I'm hoping it can be controlled for my little boys sake.
</div>
