Ohne eine Gegenleistung zu erwarten. Ob als Vorsorgeberaterin in unserem ehemaligen Bestattungsunternehmen, wo sie mit viel Einfühlungsvermögen und Würde Menschen bei der Gestaltung ihrer letzten Reise begleitet hat – oder in ihrer kleinen, eigenen Praxis für ayurvedische Massage, wo sie so vielen mit ihrer Sensibilität, ihrem tiefen Gespür und ihren heilenden Händen zu mehr Wohlbefinden verholfen hat.

<div>Alex war – und ist – ein Engel auf Erden.

<div>Eine, die zuhört. Die hält. Die trägt.

<div>Eine Frau, die immer da war, wenn man sie gebraucht hat.

<div>Ohne zu fragen. Ohne eine Gegenleistung dafür zu erwarten.

<div>Und jetzt – braucht sie uns.

<div>Im Mai 2019 überstand Alex mehrere unbemerkte Herzinfarkte, die zu einer Herzinsuffizienz führten. Doch sie ließ sich nicht unterkriegen – sie kämpfte weiter, mit unglaublicher Kraft.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Am 4. Februar 2023, ein ganz gewöhnlicher Samstag, brach Alex mitten in ihrer kleinen Praxis zusammen. Gerade hatte sie noch einen Klienten verabschiedet und wollte den nächsten begrüßen – da erlitt sie plötzlich einen Schlaganfall. Der sofort alarmierte Rettungsdienst brachte sie ins Krankenhaus nach Göppingen. Doch dort kam sie nie richtig an. Denn noch während der Aufnahme erlitt Alex einen zweiten, deutlich schwereren Schlaganfall.

<div>Ein Rettungshubschrauber brachte sie in die neurologische Spezialklinik nach Ludwigsburg. Dort wurde sie sofort notoperiert – ihr wurde die Schädeldecke geöffnet, ein Teil davon musste entfernt und außerhalb des Körpers aufbewahrt werden, um den lebensbedrohlich hohen Hirndruck zu senken.

<div>Wochenlang lag sie im Koma.
</div>
<div>Wir wussten nicht, ob sie es schaffen würde.
</div>
<div>Aber Alex?
</div>
<div>Alex hat gekämpft.
</div>
<div>Mit einer Kraft, die uns alle sprachlos gemacht hat.
</div>

</div>
<div>Sie war nicht bereit zu gehen.
</div>
<div>Für ihre Tochter. Für ihre Familie. Für uns.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Nach und nach kam sie zurück.
</div>
<div>Mit liebevoller Begleitung, viel Geduld – und sieben weiteren Schädel-OPs, weil sich die Wunde immer wieder entzündete. Als ob das nicht schon genug gewesen wäre, verlor die Klinik auch noch das entnommene Stück ihrer Schädeldecke. Stattdessen trägt sie nun ein künstliches Implantat, das ihr bis heute Beschwerden macht. (Ein Schadensersatzverfahren läuft.)

<div>Heute lebt Alexandra zuhause.
</div>
<div>Ihre linke Seite ist vollständig gelähmt.
</div>
<div>Sie kann sich nicht mehr selbstständig versorgen, aufstehen, sich drehen, gehen, geschweige denn sich selbst waschen und zur Toilette gehen..
</div>
<div>Sie ist ein schwerer Pflegefall – und trotzdem wird sie von den Kassen bisher nur in Pflegegrad 3 eingestuft, obwohl sie realistisch bei 4 oder 5 sein müsste. Alex wird von einer liebevollen Pflegekraft unterstützt. Die Kosten dafür trägt sie selbst.

<div>Und sie ist wach.
</div>
<div>Hell. Voll da.
</div>
<div>Sie lacht. Sie weint.
</div>
<div>Sie lebt.
</div>
<div>Und sie wünscht sich so sehr, wieder ein bisschen teilhaben zu können.

<div>An der Welt. Am Leben. An uns.
</div>

<div>Sie kann mit einem Heber über dem Bett in ihren elektrischen Rollstuhl gesetzt werden – aber ohne passendes Fahrzeug, mit dem sie ihre Wohngegend auch mal verlassen kann, ist sie quasi gefangen in ihrer Wohnung. Und auch die dringend benötigte funktionelle Elektrotherapie, die helfen könnte, ihre Muskulatur zu aktivieren, ist aktuell unbezahlbar. Die Kassen übernehmen sie nicht – obwohl sie gerade bei Schlaganfallpatient:innen sehr gute Erfolge zeigt.

<div>Die knallharte Realität ist: Alexandra lebt von dem, was sie sich über viele Jahre regelrecht vom Munde abgespart hat – und genau dieses Geld geht gerade Tag für Tag für Pflege, Hilfsmittel und Therapien drauf.

<div>Wir reden hier nicht von Luxus.
</div>
<div>Wir reden von Menschenwürde.

<div>Und genau deswegen möchte ich Alex, die für mich nicht nur meine sehr geschätzte Mitarbeitende und Kollegin, sondern auch mein Seelenmensch, Schwester im Herzen und Freundin ist, mit dieser Kampagne helfen. Und euch bitten:

<div>* Für ein behindertengerechtes Fahrzeug, in das Alexandra mitsamt ihrem E-Rollstuhl hineinfahren kann. Solche Fahrzeuge – oft mit Rampe, Sicherungssystemen und Umbauten – kosten selbst gebraucht noch rund 35.000 bis 40.000 €. Ohne dieses Auto bleibt Alexandra auf Krankentransporte angewiesen oder tagelang in ihrer Wohnung eingeschlossen.

<div>* Für eine funktionelle Elektrotherapie (FES), die ihre Chancen auf mehr Beweglichkeit erhöht. Die Kassen übernehmen diese erfolgversprechende Behandlung nicht – je nach Anbieter und Dauer kostet sie rund 5.000 bis 7.000 €.

<div>A Life for Others – Now Alexandra Needs Us

<div>Hello, my name is Nicole and I’m raising funds for Alexandra.

<div>Alexandra has always been the one who was there for others.
</div>
<div>With all her heart. With full dedication. Never expecting anything in return.

<div>Whether as a pre-planning advisor in our former funeral home, where she compassionately and respectfully helped people design their final journey,

<div>or in her small, personal practice for Ayurvedic massage, where she supported so many with her sensitivity, deep intuition, and healing hands –
</div>
<div>Alex has always poured herself into helping others feel safe, seen, and whole.
</div>

<div>Alex was – and still is – an angel on earth.
</div>
<div>She listens. She holds. She carries.
</div>
<div>She was always there when someone needed her.
</div>
<div>No questions asked. No expectations.
</div>

</div>
<div>And now – she needs us.

</div>
<div>In May 2019, Alex survived several unnoticed heart attacks, which led to heart failure. But she didn’t let it break her – she kept fighting, with incredible strength.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On February 4, 2023 – a completely ordinary Saturday – Alexandra collapsed in the middle of her little practice.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>She had just said goodbye to one client and was about to welcome the next when, out of nowhere, she suffered a stroke.
</div>
<div>The emergency services were called immediately and took her to the hospital in Göppingen.
</div>
<div>But she never really made it there.
</div>
<div>Because during the initial check-in, she suffered a second, much more severe stroke.
</div>

</div>
<div>A rescue helicopter flew her to the neurology clinic in Ludwigsburg, where she was rushed into surgery.
</div>
<div>Part of her skull had to be removed to relieve the life-threatening pressure in her brain – and was stored outside her body.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Alex remained in a coma for weeks.
</div>
<div>We didn’t know if she would make it.
</div>
<div>But Alex?
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Alex fought.
</div>
<div>With a strength that left us all speechless.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>She wasn’t ready to go.
</div>
<div>Not for her daughter. Not for her family. Not for us.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Gradually, she came back to us.
</div>
<div>Step by step. With love, patience – and seven additional skull surgeries, because the wound kept getting infected.
</div>
<div>As if that wasn’t already too much: the clinic also lost the removed part of her skull.
</div>
<div>She now lives with an artificial implant that continues to cause her pain and discomfort.
</div>

<div>Today, Alexandra lives at home.
</div>
<div>Her entire left side is paralyzed.
</div>
<div>She can no longer care for herself, stand up, turn over, walk – let alone wash herself or go to the bathroom unassisted.
</div>
<div>She is in need of constant care – and yet, despite her condition, the insurance company has only classified her as Care Level 3, even though Level 4 or 5 would be appropriate.
</div>

</div>
<div>Alex is lovingly supported by a private caregiver – whom she pays for herself.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And yet: she is fully awake. Clear. Present.
</div>
<div>She laughs. She cries.
</div>
<div>She is alive.
</div>
<div>And she wants, more than anything, to be part of life again.
</div>
<div>To be part of the world. Of us.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>She can be lifted into her electric wheelchair using a ceiling hoist – but without a suitable vehicle, she is essentially trapped inside her apartment.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>At the same time, a specialized functional electrical stimulation therapy (FES) could help activate her muscles and possibly improve her mobility.
</div>
<div>But this therapy is not covered by insurance – even though it has shown promising results for stroke patients.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The harsh truth is:
</div>
<div>Alexandra is living off what she saved up over many years – and every day, that money goes toward care, medical supplies, and treatments.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We're not talking about luxury.
</div>
<div>We’re talking about dignity.
</div>

</div>
<div>That’s why I – not only Alexandra’s former colleague and trusted co-worker, but someone who loves her deeply, like a sister and a soul friend – am launching this campaign.

<div>A wheelchair-accessible vehicle, where Alexandra can remain in her electric wheelchair while being safely transported. Even used, such vehicles – including ramps, securement systems, and necessary modifications – cost between €35,000 and €40,000. Without it, Alexandra is dependent on medical transport or is stuck in her apartment for days at a time.

<div>Functional electrical stimulation therapy (FES) – a treatment that could help her regain some movement and independence. It’s not covered by insurance and costs around €5,000 to €7,000, depending on provider and treatment plan.

<div>That’s why we’ve set our fundraising goal at €45,000.
</div>
