I don't want to be put down...

Hi, my name is Smoke and I know I am a Pitbull, but please don't hold that against me. I am very loving and very kind. I am gentle, very happy, and love people and children. I have a torn ACL and need help. My owner is a great guy who rescued me... Here is my Story;

I was abandoned as a puppy and wondered the streets of California for a long time. I was lying on the side of the street near death when I was rescued by a family. I stayed with them for a year, but than they had to move and no one wanted me; so they dropped me off at the pound. I was rescued a second time from a woman in Arizona who knew my current owner and thought that we would be a perfect match. She was RIGHT.... My current owner has loved me like no other. We play all the time and unfortunately, I tore my ACL out of excitement. I need surgery and my owner cannot afford it. He has no idea his family and I have reached out for help. I am only 3 years old and am not ready to be put down. My owner is so "VERY" sad and it hurts me to see him this way. I don't want to lose him and he doesn't want to lose me. Can you help?
