Jenny's Cancer Fund

Donation protected
Eight years ago on September 22, 2006, my sister-in-law Jenny was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer.  It has been a long, hard fought battle, with years of surgeries, chemo treatments, radiation, and expensive medications.  This past week our world came crashing down on us, when we learned that her cancer has advanced from her bones, which she had been battling for the past couple of years, and has now entered her liver.

I felt compelled to help her, my brother, their daughters, and son.  Over the years they have managed to pay for all of their medical bills on their own--well over six figures for a working class family. This final news has caused all of us to be overwelmed, and I have made the decision to reach out to world with the hope that they will receive from others some of the support they absolutely need at this time.

I am asking that if instead of ordering a Starbucks today, that you consider giving $5 to this fund.  Every little bit will help them.

We know that soon Hospice will be involved and I want the family to be able to enjoy the time they have together without worrying about money.  They have a young daughter who is facing the loss of a mother way to young--she is 13.  A son who just started his own family welcoming a baby last year.  And another daughter who has been facing her own struggles in recent years dealing with loss.

For those of you who have not met Jenny before, I share this with you--she is one of the most thoughtful, caring, giving people I have ever met in this world.  She puts everyone before herself--asking for nothing--absolutely nothing.  She is humble, quiet, and patient.  She has fought one of the toughest battles known to man and for this reason she deserves this time with her family to be free of worry and burden.

Jenny has said to me many times over the past few years to live life to the fullest. Do not take a single moment with your family or friends for granted.  Be present and good to your neighbors for life can be short and our time with God soon upon us.

I thank you in advance for your support and ask that you consider sharing this with your family and friends as well.

May God bless each of you for your genorisity with health and love.
