Supporting Life in Liberia

Dear Friends,

 This is a call to invite you to be a beacon of life for Liberia and humanity.

 Three months ago I traveled to Liberia with a group of transformational leaders and coaches. We went there to be in service, however, we were also deeply served and inspired by the liberian people, some of the most resilient and beautiful people in the world.

 After 5 years of civil war, Liberia became the second poorest country in the planet and since 2003 they have been in the path to rebuild their country.

 Personally, I am directly connected to the face of Liberia... the children, the women and men of this country. Several times a week I am in conversation with leaders that are trust worthy and are doing what they can to support their people.

 My group visited the Bassa County in Liberia, we visited several villages and deliver clean water systems.

 This County has now been in quarantine. Which means that people cannot leave or come in. This creates two big problems, one, shortage of food supply and lack of proper support in education about ebola, not enough medications to treat the patients from ebola or any other deadly diseases like malaria.

 People are not only dying from Ebola now, they are also dying of hunger and of other diseases. Much of this can be stopped by providing food supplies and proper basic care and sanitation.

 This campaign has been created to support the people with food, supplies to prevent and protect from ebola and support education campaigns in rural areas.

  AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS MESSAGE THERE ARE SEVERAL LINKS THAT CAN PROVIDE YOU MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE SITUATION IN LIBERIA.  

  At this point, this is the first sign of support that this county has received. Know that if you choose to contribute, your support will go far. 

 Here is a list of what will be provided with your donations.

For $20 you can provide a the basic sanitation supplies to a household to prevent transmition of ebola. One bucket, soap and chlorine.

For $30 YOU CAN BUY A BAG OF 25KG OF RICE AND PROVIDE FOOD FOR ONE MONTH. We are intending to deliver to as many people as possible.

For $40 you can sponsor an individual with food and proper care at a quarantine center and provide the best chances for their recovery.
We are intending to provide this support to 50 individuals at this point.

$40 will provide the basic supply of food to a home for a month. We are intending to provide this supplies to 100 homes in three villages

$275 Dlls will provide a basic month supply to an orphanage. (20 children) Rice, beans, sugar, milk, clorox, bucket, soap

$330 Provides a complete food basket to a family of 5 for a month
Rice, sardines, oatmeal, milk, sugar, oil, clorox, bucket



Other resourses will go to education and training materials to visit rural areas. Personally I am providing the salaries to the leaders out of my income so that all the money from the donations go to the supplies.

 As we continue to deliver the food and supplies I will update.
