Save Founding Farmers

We are a regular family with roots as farmers.  We opened a Community Market in Gardiner to serve our neighbors and neighboring communities.  We are a local market,  stocked only with items made from our neighbors and friends to sell to our neighbors and friends.   

We cook with these fine ingredients and enjoyed giving thousands of dollars back to area farmers.  Most of our food is under 35 food miles...We opened with a transparent economic goal:  75% of any price is the farmer's, we will keep 25% for rent and expenses.  We have been opened a year, made many rookie mistakes and are struggling to keep this community market open.  With such a low markup, we needed volume and volume we did not get.   Infact, we announced our closing and have seen an upswell of disappointed neighbors who asked us to open this fund.  If this Community Market is to be saved, it will be by the community.  We still have the desire to throw all we can at this Market...So, if you are in...we are.
