Efforts to Rebuild Plumas National Forest

Donation protected
Dear Friends,

The year 2021 has been hard. The nation has experienced the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic, inflation, supply-chain issues, employment shortages, drought, and wildfire.

All these events have greatly effected us, our loved ones, and the world as we know it—forever changing how we live, and how we appreciate living.

This all said, despite so many tragedies 2020-2021 has revealed, it is important to see through the clouds to face the sun. Yet, like so many in our community, we too, have been personally effected by the tragedy of fire—the Dixie Complex Fire (2021) which nearly eliminated the Plumas National Forest, gutting forests, wildlife, ranches, homes, fishing, and effecting our neighbours in the Sierra Valley in ways unimaginable.

In efforts to bring awareness and continued support in rebuilding the environment, livelihoods, and industry throughout the Sierra Valley, we have developed a special project in which to do so: Efforts to Rebuild Plumas National Forest.

The Ask:
Our initial budget is $3,000. We are eagerly fundraising to meet this goal by December 8, 2021. This budget is set to pay for a video film telling the story of devastation in our area caused by the Dixie Complex Fire. Our hopes is that with this video, national and local decision makers will advance on efforts to help the local communities rebuild the forest. (Some local families have depended upon Plumas Forest for industry for centuries.)

Thank you in advance for your consideration in this project, and any gift you may be willing to give.

Sincerely,
The Stefano Miraglia Family
